Hebrews 10:22

Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith. Having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse our guilty consciences and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess for He who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:22 NIV

This is a call from the heart of God, our personal invitation to draw near and in case we have any hesitations about approaching someone so holy and pure, God reminds us of our status in Christ and how Jesus has cleansed us from all sin. God will welcome us with open arms because of our standing in Christ.

The second ‘Let us’ is a call to keep on keeping on – to go the distance. I like the word ‘unswervingly’ – no veering to the left or right. This verse is rich in content and as you meditate on it, you will gain a new assurance of your faith and relationship to God.
